The present research aimed to construct and verify the evidence of validity of the measurement instrument with a focus on Self-Efficacy for Specialization Courses (SESC). Evidences of validity of the Self-Efficacy Scale for Specialization Courses were analysed using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The scale evaluates the perception of the self-efficacy belief of students in specialization courses, containing 13 items associated with Likert scale (1 and 5). The sample contained 303 Brazilian students from different courses and modalities. The data collection was performed via Google Forms. Data analysis used the polychoric matrix and the RDWLS extraction method, aiming to extract factors to be retained, and AP with random permutation of the observed data with Robust Promin rotation. The adequacy of the model evaluated the RMSEA, CFI and TLI fit indexes, and the H index the stability. The presented results demonstrated excellent indexes of the model. The AECE is unifactorial, Composite Reliability of 0.91, it is a statistically valid and reliable measurement instrument.
