Abstract

The article discusses the importance of collaborative construction of herbaria as a practical approach to teaching biology. It highlights the significance of herbaria as educational tools, allowing students direct contact with plant diversity and the development of practical and scientific skills. Collaborative construction of herbaria is presented as an effective strategy to actively engage students in the learning process, promoting cooperation, teamwork, and knowledge exchange. The benefits of this approach are discussed, including stimulating curiosity, understanding local biodiversity, and strengthening the link between theory and practice. Furthermore, practical guidelines are provided for the successful implementation of this activity in the classroom, emphasizing the importance of planning, organization, and integration with the school curriculum. The article also underscores the importance of encouraging students' critical reflection on environmental issues and nature conservation, using herbaria as a starting point for broader discussions on sustainability and socio-environmental responsibility.
