Admission to Higher Education is full of challenges regarding the transition and adaptation process to the academic environment, especially for those with disabilities. This article aimed to analyze the inclusion of university students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Higher Education institutions in Brazil, considering the year, publication field, focus of interest, methodology used, and main results. It consists of a systematic review conducted on the databases of CAPES, SciELO, and BVS using descriptors such as "inclusion; higher education; autism spectrum disorder" and "inclusion; university; autism." Out of the 225 articles initially found, seven were deemed eligible for analysis. The results reveal a scarcity of recent, qualitative studies focusing on students with ASD. However, it is concluded that more research is needed to understand the implications of inclusion and develop effective strategies in Higher Education, which urgently require resolution.
Keywords: Autism Spectrum Disorder. Higher education. Inclusion.
