Abstract

This paper has as aim at pointing meanings on the rape culture among students of faculties (licentiate degrees) and graduation of a Higher Education Institution (HEI) of the State of Paraná. This culture is understood as deep-rooted in discourses that support gender inequalities. Therefore, some discourses were accessed and analyzed, constituted through different instruments, considering theoretical-methodological importance of French-Brazilian Discourse Analysis in this process. It is noticed that these discourses are (re)assembled between stabilization and slipping, producing effects of diverse meanings, such as silencing meanings, blaming ones, power relations structuring, bodies objectification, and resistance. Understanding how circulate the meanings in institutions like the Higher Education ones favors a necessary tensioning, which catalyzes institutionalized collective actions in favor of a relationship set resignification that structure and strength the rape culture within our society.
