This article discusses English language-culture teachers training in Cametá/PA, considering the narratives of teachers who graduated from Letters degree course major in English Language at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), Tocantins/Cametá University Campus (CUNTINS). We understand that different discourses permeate the training of this graduate, producing a subject-teacher shaped by neoliberal values. We used discourse studies as a theoretical-methodological approach to investigate the relationship between the narratives of teachers working in the city of Cametá/PA and neoliberalism in relation to the processes of training and teaching and learning English language-culture. As a result of this proposal, we noticed neoliberal discursive incidences in the way the graduates conceive of the teaching-learning processes that (they) go through.
