Abstract

This paper is intended to offer a comparative analysis of the main advances in the effective compliance with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Although without forgetting the consequent impulse of public policies and self-regulation mechanisms, particular attention will be paid to their use as a basis for legislative initiatives and jurisdictional resolutions both at the national and international levels. The final objective is, therefore, to justify the understanding of the so-called ‘Ruggie Principles’ as a new manifestation of an emerging Global Law.
