Uma proposta de Framework para Telepresença Imersiva aplicada à Educação a Distância

Resumo

O avanço da globalização nos últimos anos demanda novas formas de comunicação imersivas e de baixo custo. Atualmente, sistemas de telepresença imersivos são custosos e exigem hardware específico, o que dificulta o seu transporte para diversos ambientes, restringindo seu uso a poucos locais. Neste trabalho, é apresentado um framework de telepresença imersiva de baixo custo, reprodutível e de alta mobilidade, utilizando-se de tecnologias de fácil acesso como smartphones com sistema operacional Android e a plataforma Arduino. Para isso, um dispositivo com câmera é controlado remotamente a partir dos dados dos sensores de orientação do smartphone. A imagem da câmera é visualizada pelo usuário remoto com técnicas de Realidade Virtual a fim de proporcionar a imersão. Um cenário de uso é apresentado para corroborar o potencial do framework como ferramenta de telepresença de uso viável em ambientes educacionais.
