MEANINGFUL LEARNING IN THE TEACHING OF NATURAL SCIENCES AND MATHEMATICS

The discussion on the theory of meaningful learning is necessary in all areas of teaching, aiming to mobilize students for the construction of knowledge and critical and civic education of individuals. Through this discussion, our research aimed to carry out a study on Brazilian academic productions at stricto sensu postgraduate level that present an approach to meaningful learning in the Teaching of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. This investigation is dedicated to carrying out a mapping based on the content analysis of Bardin (2002) and with the support of the Iramuteq software. The research is characterized as basic in nature and with a qualitative, descriptive and in-depth exploratory investigation approach. The results demonstrate a concentration of the classic perspective of meaningful learning and that teaching practice, the use of alternative methodologies and approaches to programmatic content, use of computational resources and software in teaching, is necessary, in order to enable the learner to interact. relationship between the knowledge he already has and the new concepts presented. We highlight that manual content analysis and the use of Iramuteq support allowed us to reach similar considerations highlighted in the text.
