The aim of this study is to map and analyze scientific articles from the last two decades on the platforms: Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), Scielo Educ@ and Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (Periódicos Capes) that deal with the themes: teaching work and infrastructure in the context of secondary education. This is an integrative review, based on scientific articles, guided by the following question: what do the productions available in the last two decades point to that address teacher work and school infrastructure in the context of secondary education? A total of seven articles were analyzed based on three categories: conditions of student access and permanence; intensification of teaching and teaching conditions; and precariousness of teaching work and school infrastructure. After analysis, it was concluded that the expansion of access to secondary education did not include adequate investment in terms of infrastructure, thus making teaching work more precarious.
