Abstract

The objective of this study was to identify in the memories of Physical Education teachers, from the time of schooling to the professional stages, references that may have influenced their educational practices, in order to analyze the permanences and changes that occurred in educational work. The research was developed in the city of Jequié, a municipality in the interior of Bahia, with Physical Education teachers trained in the 1980s. It is characterized as a qualitative research approach that is based on Oral History as a method of data collection and analysis. of data, together with production in the area. For this article we used as a reference the point of view of three subjects, three Physical Education teachers who narrated their life stories, allowing us to perceive in their professional trajectories the strong influence exerted by high-performance sport, something that we believe reflects the reality of many Physical Education classes in the city’s public schools.

Doutorando em Educação pela Universidade Federal da Bahia - UFBA. Mestre em Memória: Linguagem e Sociedade pela Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia - UESB (2016). Licenciado em Educação Física pela Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia - UESB (2001). Membro pesquisador do Grupo CORPO/UFBA. Pesquisando os seguintes temas:História da Educação Física e do Esporte; História do Corpo; Atualmente é auxiliar de esportes da Prefeitura Municipal de Jequié e professor regente - Secretaria de Educação do Estado da Bahia. Tem experiência na área de Educação, com ênfase em Educação Física escolar.

Felipe Eduardo Ferreira Marta, Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia -UESB

Possui graduação em Educação Física pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2001), mestrado em História pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (2004) e doutorado em História pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (2009). Atualmente é professor pleno da Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz (UESC), atuando no curso de Educação Física e professor do quadro permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Memória: linguagem e sociedade da Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia (PPGMLS-UESB).
