Abstract

This systematic review work aims to investigate how the scientific literature has contemplated the subjective dimension in studies on academic literacy practices in Brazilian higher education. The research was carried out from 2015 to 2021, in the theses and dissertations databases of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and in the Scientific Electronic Library On-line (SciELO). A total of ten works were selected, being three articles, six dissertations and one thesis. The main categories of analysis were: “Enunciative positions in linguistic analysis” and “Languages, subjectivities, contemporary university and subjects' mode of production”. The results indicate that there is a predominance of the analysis of subjectivity with a focus on linguistic indices and, in some works, there is also analytical evidence that considers dialogic aspects in the expression of subjectivity. In both cases, the predominance of subjectivity analysis is textual. There is another line of research that transcends the linguistic domain, because it starts from an ontological perspective to understand the reflection of academic language in the construction of subjectivity, but with little expressiveness in the number of productions, because studies that address this theme have shown to be scarce in terms of production.
