The aim of this text is to debate the contributions of the analysis of socio-environmental conflicts as an interdisciplinary teaching methodology for working with Environmental Education in the school context. It seeks to contextualize socio-environmental conflicts as a relevant element for the organization of teaching and learning processes in Environmental Education at school. The research methodology is based on a qualitative approach, based on document analysis of the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC) and theoretical research, with bibliographical investigation and discussion of the central concepts exposed in the textual corpus. As a theoretical contribution, the writings of Acselrad (2005), Loureiro (2004) and Porto-Gonçalves (2018) stand out. The arguments point to the analysis of socio-environmental conflicts as a relevant methodological perspective to expand the context of development of Environmental Education in the school institution, from the planning of investigative pedagogical strategies, in an interdisciplinary perspective.
