Abstract

This study proposes a reflection on the changes in the configuration of teaching work through Distance Education. We discussed the initiative Bolsa- Formação of Pronatec which included the distance mediator teacher in a function similar to that occupied by the distance tutor. The data revealed that the nomenclature has changed, but the activities performed by the professionals are the same as tutoring. Another factors stood out such as increase in the value of the scholarship, increase in the number of students and place of work. Although the Bolsa-Formação initiative presents greater financial value, professionals remain in the condition of scholarship holders. These factors reveal the different ways in which teaching work has been established in Distance Education in the Brazilian public network.
