Abstract

This essay aims to debate about the relationship between Hilda Hilst's writing and the idea of the body from the short-story book Fluxo-floema. According to the author's texts, the body emerges as an object of philosophical and literary reflection, mainly assuming the role as a creative subject: a body that writes. For this reason, I read Hilst alongside philosophers Jean Luc-Nancy and Michel Serres, three authors who brought core, flesh, and muscle to the heart of the debate.
