Description as narrative resource in Blood Meridian, by Cormac McCarthy

The presente research aims to analyse the novel Blood Meridian or The Evening Redness in the West, by the U.S. writer Cormac McCarthy. The general objective of this article is to analyze how the author uses the description as a narration resource. Therefore, theoretical discussions about description in Literature and about the role of the narration in McCarthy’s novel are necessary for a better understanding of narratological subjectivity in the characterization of the spaces and characters during the narrative.
