This study aimed to analyze the prevalence of Minor Psychic Disorders (MPD) and associated factors, considering the sociodemographic and labor characteristics of early childhood education teachers who work in the municipal network of Uruguaiana/RS. It is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The instruments used for data collection were the sociodemographic questionnaire and the Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20). 123 professors participated in the study and 34.1% had symptoms suggestive of MPD. The symptoms presented by the majority indicate the presence of anxious depressive mood and somatic complaints. The work performed by these professionals who work in early childhood education generates anxiety, depression and stress. For this reason, it is necessary to adopt local public policies that ensure health promotion and disease prevention actions, with characteristics of the biopsychosocial model, where biological, mental and social aspects are considered, aiming at the care and support in mental health for teachers of early childhood education.
