FACTORS THAT IMPACT AND SUPPORT THE IMPLEMENTATION OF LAW Nº 10.639/03 IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF PORTO SEGURO - BA, VITÓRIA DA CONQUISTA - BA AND SÃO CARLOS - SP

This article is based on the analysis of the various elements that composed and compose the implementation of Federal Law No. 10.639/2003 in the municipalities of Porto Seguro-BA, Vitória da Conquista-BA, and São Carlos-SP. To sustain this objective, we immersed ourselves in a vast literature that dialogues with the theme, namely: Abramowicz; Oliveira, ( 2006), Cavalleiro (1998), Freire (2001), Gomes (2002), Moraes (2013), Munanga (2005) Nicodemos; Olive Trees (2014), Rosemberg (2014), Santana; Muller, ( 2012), Santos (2007), Santos (2013), Santos (2020), Silva (2010), in addition to access to official documents and the accomplishment of field work, resulting in interviews with teachers and coordinators of the nuclei or folders responsible for the referral of the process of implementation of the Law in question. We also seek to understand through the five categories used in the interviews (Racism at School, the role of the City Hall, the role of universities, personal motivation of teachers and Black Identity in the school context), the actions adopted by teachers for the implementation and/or materialization of the southern principles of Law 10.639/2003. Thus, we found that even though they are specific actions of teachers, such actions have demonstrated significant advances in the construction of an anti-racist pedagogy capable of promoting positive actions in the fight against racism in the school context.
