EDUCATION AS A REINVENTION OF POST-PANDEMIC LIFE

The “new normal,” which is a current expression, brings the new experiences of contemporary post-pandemic society, brought new problems in the school environment and, demonstrated the fragilities in the educational, social and health fields, in the world and, in the case of Brazil, evidenced the socioeconomic destabilization. This article aims to analyze how school education needed to be reinvented in the post-pandemic period of COVID-19. To reach this objective, a bibliographic research of exploratory type was developed, with qualitative analysis in secondary data. The new post-pandemic reality became a challenge for schools, which were not equipped with the technology to fully migrate to online; for teachers who did not have time to adapt their pedagogical practices; for students who were forced to pay attention in remote and demotivating classes, and for most families who realized their socioeconomic fragility by not having the Digital Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in their homes.
