Based in Freire's theory, especially in the book Educating with the media, and with references from the field of Cultural Studies, this article seeks to problematize the effects, in initial teacher training, of (inter)disciplinary experiences developed during the COVID-19 pandemic in the relationship with the media in Physical Education courses belonging to two federal universities. This is a descriptive-analytical study that promotes the articulation of empirical and bibliographic sources supported by a qualitative research approach. From the synchronous and asynchronous activities carried out via digital media (Google Meet, Moodle, WhatsApp and Youtube), the students were affected by the proposition and by the cultural meanings that emerged from the different educational situations presented and problematized through different pedagogical artifacts. We understand that, in addition to their usefulness in the pandemic period, the strategies presented in this article can be potentially interesting in a possible resumption of classroom teaching, critically interspersing classes in higher education with moments mediated by Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
