This paper seeks to discuss youthhoods’ pluralism and university lecturing nowadays. We relate such discussion to the paradigms of aesthetic education and humanization of teaching practices. Divided in three sections, the paper is the result of a basic, exploratory, qualitative and theoretical-bibliographical research organically articulated with the work of different scholars of the educational field. In the first part, we contextualize university lecturing through a critical and formative perspective supported by several authors, such as Masetto (2005), Fávero and Tonieto (2010, 2015), Fávero and Ody (2015), Nörnberg and Forster (2016), and Cruz (2017). The second section presents youthhoods in their diversity and heterogeneity and it is substantiated by Pais (1990), Dayrell (2003), Gomes (2010), Pais, Lacerda, and Oliveira (2017). Finally, the third section analyzes aesthetic education and humanization of teaching practices as enhancers of youths’ teaching-learning process; for this purpose, we evoke Nussbaum (2015), Copatti and Moreira (2015), Benincá (2010), Freire (1981, 2011), among others.
