The concept of disability has undergone many shifts over time - since certain diagnoses, with each legal change, are incorporated into, or detached from, the category, and a series of effects result. One of them concerns the special conditions offered in the entrance exams - support to allow equal forms of access to higher education - aimed at people whose corporations demand adaptations. Of the most common diagnoses in the educational environment, including in higher education, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) stands out - and is included in the list of those who provide different conditions in the selection processes, even if it is not a type of disability . Through the analysis of the speeches that are built around the entry of people with the aforementioned condition, considering two Federal Universities in the South of Brazil, the intention is to understand, starting from a Foucauldian perspective of analysis, who is actually being included and which narratives - about inattention / impulsivity / hyperactivity - have been constructed to support different conditions of access, and also permanence, to this group.
