Inovação Disruptiva no Turismo: o caso das hospedagens domiciliares promovidas pela Web 2.0.

A partir dos atuais cenários de competitividade, da premência pela satisfação dos desejos e necessidades dos clientes, dos esforços das empresas para fidelizá-los e entregar valor, observa-se no contexto de mercado uma panóplia de inovações as quais desempenham um papel estratégico na formatação de novos modelos de negócios. Alguns destes modelos configuram inovações disruptivas que refletem mudanças nos mercados devido à introdução de novas tecnologias e produtos ou serviços que apresentam qualidade inferior àqueles oferecidos pelas empresas consolidadas. Porém, os modelos de negócios que assentam em inovações disruptivas oferecem valores afetos à praticidade, conveniência e bom desempenho que atraem novos consumidores. Este artigo objetiva discutir o modelo de negócio disruptivo das hospedagens domiciliares promovidas pela Web 2.0, enfatizando aspectos associados à economia colaborativa. Para este propósito, foi desenvolvida uma metodologia assente em revisão de literatura sobre os temas inovação disruptiva e modelos de negócios e, em seguida, apresentou-se um estudo de caso sobre a empresa de hospedagens domiciliares Airbnb. As reflexões apresentadas mostram que o Airbnb representa uma inovação disruptiva por atender às necessidades de turistas sensíveis à uma experiência mais autêntica e que buscam facilidades de uso online. Conclui-se, a partir do framework de Osterwald, utilizado para descrever modelos de negócios, que o Airbnb promove propostas de valor diferenciadas onde turistas e anfitriões partilham valores sociais, relacionais e hedônicos numa experiência de hospedagem. As limitações desta investigação advêm da realização de estudo de caso em apenas 1 (um) modelo de negócio de hospedagem domiciliar promovido pela Web 2.0, devendo-se realizar abordagens quantitativas com outros modelos para a validação dos resultados.Downloads
