The purpose of the article is to investigate changes in the established global trends in tourism under the influence of restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The study presents an analysis of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the tourism industry. The macrotrends in tourism before the introduction of restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the trends that emerged in tourism in the course of the pandemic are identified. The study suggests that the trends that made their appearance in tourism during the pandemic can contribute to the industry’s recovery from the crisis in the post-pandemic period. At the same time, the prospects for the tourism sector remain extremely unclear. The changes brought about by the pandemic force the authorities of virtually all countries of the world, especially those in which tourism is quite a significant sphere of development, to take a different approach to the formation of strategies and programs for the development of the tourism industry.
2022-12-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2022 Anais Brasileiros de Estudos Turísticoshttps://periodicos.ufjf.br/index.php/abet/article/view/39705Influence of green architecture objects on the ecological and tourist attractiveness of the urban environment2023-01-10T20:07:39+00:00Oxana VasilyevaONVasileva@fa.ruVasily Sinyukovv.sinukov@yandex.ruTatiana Ukhina3332221@mail.ruGrigoriy Bazhingbajin@stc-c.ruIvan Otcheskiyotcheskiy-ie@mail.ruLina ZakharovaKaf224@yandex.ru
The development of large cities is associated with the deterioration of the environment, which pushes humanity to become aware of environmental priorities. As a result, cities have an urgent need to maximize the natural component of the urban environment. The article proposes that the design of green landscaping and architecture objects seeks to minimize the negative impact of construction on nature. The objective of this article is to evaluate the design characteristics of landscape design objects and green architecture as a means of ecological and tourist attractiveness of the urban environment. The literature review supports that there is a trend in the development of the modern urban environment thanks to the combination of urban and natural elements, which generates a new type of emotional and aesthetic impact on human beings and increases the environmental attractiveness of the urban environment for both city residents and tourists. Based on the case study method, the authors create a basic scheme for the probable implementation of the design of landscaping elements in an urban environment and the use of green architecture objects. The study of the experience of landscaping and design of green architecture objects allows us to conclude that the design of landscaping and green architecture objects is a new stage in the development of modern urban planning, based on the principles of attraction of natural components to the urban environment.
2023-05-11T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2023 Anais Brasileiros de Estudos Turísticoshttps://periodicos.ufjf.br/index.php/abet/article/view/39702Legal framework as a conditioning factor underlying the exploitation of agrotourism and ecotourism: an analysis of current conditions in Russia and Belarus2022-12-06T00:29:18+00:00Ekaterina Vetrovaekaterina.a.vetrova@mail.ruVitalii Vasyukovvvf0109@yandex.ruIvan Otcheskiyotcheskiy-ie@mail.ruAlexey Deyeva.s.deev@utmn.ruAleksandr Sakhnosssomsk@mail.ruAleksandra Panova alexandra.g.panova@mail.ru
This paper considers various possibilities and prospects for the development of agricultural and ecotourism in Russia. In the context of financial and logistical constraints on the Russian business, the closure of many traditional tourist destinations necessitates a reorientation of tourist flows both in terms of location and in terms of tourist interest. Currently, travelers are inclined to choose new types of tourism, including agrotourism and ecotourism. Agrotourism and ecotourism can become a significant economic component for several agricultural and natural areas. The study demonstrates that the closure of traditional tourist destinations for Russian tourists creates unique conditions for the redirection of tourist flows and the qualitative reorientation of tourism. The main tasks of regulation in this area are streamlining relations in the following combination "agricultural and natural territories – tourism business – a consumer of a tourism product (tourist)", as well as observing the legitimate interests of all participants in such relations. The authors of the article study positive global experience in the organization and regulation of agrotourism and ecotourism. They also propose some legal formulations for the formation of legal concepts aimed at supporting the development of the tourism business in both agricultural and environmental areas.
2022-12-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2022 Anais Brasileiros de Estudos Turísticoshttps://periodicos.ufjf.br/index.php/abet/article/view/39468Beyond the Protected World Heritage in Brazil2022-11-09T18:49:43+00:00Ricardo E. Even with the auspices of Unesco, the title of World Heritage, by itself, does not always protect the sites that have received this seal of approval. Brazil, with 23 World Heritage sites, whether cultural, natural and/or mixed, reflects in its territory aspects of this crisis that, in part, is the result of a disordered tourism. The dossier Tourism and Unesco World Heritage Sites in Brazil, from the Anais Brasileiros de Estudos Turísticos (Brazilian Annals of Tourism Studies), showed, through seven articles, several aspects and approaches about tourism in sites that house the national heritage recognized by Unesco. It was observed in the dossier that, in addition to the world heritage title, effective public policies and territorial management with popular participation are needed so that the "heritage-territory" is not reproduced, which touristifies in an unsustainable way. It is hoped that the heritage will primarily serve the communities inserted in and around these sites. And that even in areas already gentrified, governments, educational institutions and private companies may act to reinsert and integrate local communities and traditional populations in the tourist activity and as agents of heritage protection.
2022-11-11T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2022 Anais Brasileiros de Estudos Turísticoshttps://periodicos.ufjf.br/index.php/abet/article/view/39418Gender and tourism consumption in Brazil: analysis of family budgets in the perspective of intersectionality2023-01-11T01:12:15+00:00Cassiana Panissa Gabriellicassiana.gabrielli@gmail.comJuliana Medagliajulianamedaglia@gmail.comGlauber Eduardo de Oliveira Santosglauber.santos@usp.br
This article aims to analyze the relationship between gender and tourism consumption in Brazil from the perspective of intersectionality with sociodemographic characteristics such as race, income and household condition (urban/rural). This work is embedded in the growing debate about social agendas in the tourist context, linked to the lack of statistical data and information that allow stratified analyzes by social markers. The research analyzes data from the IBGE's Household Budget Survey (2017-2018), using descriptive statistics techniques, in addition to parametric tests and multivariate modeling. The modeling of tourist consumption made it possible to examine the conditional effects of each sociodemographic variable, seeking to describe the relationships between the explanatory variables and tourist consumption. Descriptive results indicate that households headed by women tend to consume less tourism than those headed by men. However, the analysis of conditional effects suggests that this difference is due to income inequality, and not directly to the gender difference. In this way, the intersectional analysis made it possible to clarify the structure behind the observable gender inequality in tourist consumption, pointing to income as a transmission and perpetuation mechanism of the lower access of women to travel.
2023-03-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2023 Anais Brasileiros de Estudos Turísticoshttps://periodicos.ufjf.br/index.php/abet/article/view/39153Development of regional tourism: factors affecting the formation of professional competence in future professionals in tourism2022-10-11T00:44:30+00:00Ivan Otcheskiyruss-kaz.centr@mail.ruDiana Stepanovas_diana@mail.ruNatalia Bittervaleolog@yandex.ruMaya Livsonmaya_livson@mail.ruRita Stytsyuk rita.yu.stytsyuk@mail.ruOlga Denisovao.a.denisova@inbox.ru
The socio-political changes faced by Russia force universities to adjust the theoretical training and practical skills of students. These changes need to focus on the development of domestic tourism in Russia. In one hand, this brings about the need for a large number of specialists in domestic tourism and, on the other hand, for systemic adjustments to the training of future specialists in the organization of tourism. Thus, the study aims to identify factors in the formation of professional competence in future specialists in the organization of regional tourism in higher education. These factors are established through analysis of scientific sources and the results of an expert survey. We have identified to two groups of the major factors that need to be taken into consideration when training specialists. The first group of factors affects the content of training and, in particular, includes targeted formation of student motivation to master professional skills and abilities in developing regional tourist products using national experience. The second group influences the methods of training (e.g. including the use of group training methods and interactive technologies). conclusions show that he effectiveness of the formation of the professional competence of future specialists in the organization of regional tourism will be ensured primarily by targeted formation of students' motivation to master professional skills and abilities to form a regional tourist product and the use of national experience of formation and implementation of regional tourist products in the activities of tourist enterprises. To this end, a theoretical review was conducted based on the topics of management and planning of tourist destinations, in general, and the conditioning factors of attractiveness of tourist destinations, in particular. Based on the analysis of the academic literature, the authors identified internal and external factors that affect the attractiveness of the tourist destination. The empirical study was conducted as a case study in Russia, with application of an online survey by e-mail to experts in planning and management of tourist destinations, in order to collect their perceptions about the importance of the factors of attractiveness of a tourist destination and highlighted their parameters, collate them with the pre-existing literature and consolidate a matrix of relevant categories for the analysis of the topic. The results explore the internal and external factors that affect the functioning of the attractiveness of the tourist destination. While the former focus directly on the destination's operations and functionality, allowing to improve the tourism potential in a given period of time; the external factors are the source of consumer provision on a legislative basis and take into account national and international developments.
