Abstract

Sphinx, Aeschylus’ satyr play performed in 467 BC after Seven Against Thebes, reached our days in fragmentary state. The aim of this paper is to present a Brazilian Portuguese translation of the remaining fragments and a conjectural reconstruction of the drama, based on Oedipus and the sphinx myth, Greek vases scenes, and the fragments.
