Ten epigrams on Narcissus
Keywords:
translation, poetic translation, Latin literature, mythology, NarcissusAbstract
I present the translation of ten poems, all of them translated by the first time in Brazil, about some aspect of Narcissus’ myth. The epigrams come from the Latin Anthology or from the works of the roman poet Decimus Magnus Ausonius. I intend to translate them poetically, using meters employed by the Portuguese language's poetry.
