Abstract

This article aims to present the discussion about the mythical-archetypal-religious and poetic experience of the figures of Dionysus in Greek culture, Trickster in Amerindian culture, Exu in the Yoruba worldview and Diadorim, in Brazilian art or imagination. These characters have similar characteristics from a mythical-archetypal representation, present in all times and places, such as fertility, joy and theater, clown, clever or foolish prankster, prankster, cheater. They are not seen as heroes or gods of order, on the contrary, they are recognized as anti-heroes and gods of disorder, yet it represents change, the possibility of the new, of transformation.
