Abstract

Abstract: in the Chant of the Chants for Flute and Guitar (1942) poetry book, Oswald de Andrade creates a writing which merges romantic and critic speech to uncommon balance.  Without adopting nihilist and naive approaches, love is depicted as a special event of life, without losing its everyday events, worldliness and not even falling into the boyish idealization of the other. The conception exists; however, it is an object of the mindset to be reflected and discussed in the poetry words. Thus, this essay aims at discussing the piece Chant of the Chants to Flute and Guitar (1942) of Oswald de Andrade with the purpose of demostrating how the poet carries out a poetry book which is, at the same time, strongly lyrical and critical, revisiting the biblical canon of Solomon, bringing up a hyper-textuality which quotes, not following the holy text and disarming the conventional imaginary of the romantic poetry.
