Abstract

Corina Coaraci (United States, 4/18/1859 – 3/23/1892) journalist, daughter of Mary Frances Lawe, an American with a Brazilian journalist, Carlos Francisco Alberto de Vivaldi. She collaborated in periodicals such as: Illustration Brazil, South American Mail, Illustracao Popular, Folha Nova, Gazetinha, The New York Herald, Cidade do Rio, Correio do Povo, O Paiz. We chose as corpus, the thoughts that constitute this article, the texts of the magazine Illustração do Brazil published between 1877 and 1880, with the objective of disseminating the writer's production.
