I propose a translation of the short story “Salsicce” (Sausages) by the Italo-Somali writer Igiaba Scego. Additionally, some of my translational choices are presented; the goal is to contribute to the dissemination of Scego's work, an award-winning author with at least two decades of literary career. Scego already has some of her novels translated into Portuguese, but so far, none of her short stories have been translated for the Brazilian audience.
