SERÁ PORTO ALEGRE UMA FESTA? ELUCUBRAÇÕES SOBRE LUGARES QUE FOMENTAM A CRIAÇÃO LITERÁRIA

Abstract

The essay addresses stimulating environments concerning literary creation. It shows how certain cities, at certain historical moments, such as Paris in the 1920s and Barcelona at the turn of the 1960s/70s, attracted writers by offering favorable conditions for the promotion and propagation of literary works. It analyzes the case of Porto Alegre, which, as the largest Creative Writing hub in Brazil, houses a diverse community of writers.
