This article proposes to analyze the works of two young poets – Brazilian Virgínia Boechat and Portuguese Catarina Nunes de Almeida – whose lyrics face pressing contemporary questions such as the lack of freedom of expression of the body and the place of poetry. Their languages alternate between concision and eroticism, and establish a tension, or possible relation, of the individual with the world and tradition.
