Abstract

This article aims at stablishing relations between A room of one’s own and the feminist criticism, observing how it has reread and (re)signified Woolf’s essay.  It will problematize questions such as the female exclusion from the public spaces, from the political spheres and, consequently, from literature and history. After that, we will talk about Judith Shakespeare and, at last, two issues will be discussed, the first one refers to the female literary tradition and the second one about the female sentence.

Keywords: Feminist criticism, Judith Shakespeare, female literary tradition.
