Abstract

Approach to the Cultural Studies taking into account the considerations of Hayden White, Jacques Derrida and Michel Foucault in relation to the statute and the mode of functioning of disciplines. It is intended to reason about a type of cultural criticism that, since it is exterior to the field of literature, can act as a form of strangeness of the disciplinary function. The political dimension of the new practices of discourse, which question the distance between erudite tradition and popular or mass culture, the object of art and the reader, the work of art and daily life, among other hierarchies, is brought into light.
