Resumo

Having as its main theoretical support poetic expropriation, as it is dealt by Harold Bloom in his anxiety of influence, the present text seeks to put into scene the question of the discoursive power. Bloom proposes influence to be seen not as a gift but as an appropriation, the product of a mind that is conscious of the influence suffered and therefore becomes anguished. Through antithetical detours it is possible to envision a history of artistic creation that is built upon attempts or concretizations of parricides, which are the product of an unavoidable duel between the defied literary father and his rebelled child.
