autobiography, literature and society, Philippe Lejeune
Resumo
A genre that exists in-between fiction and history, considered by many as a minor one, autobiography took advantage of its liminal position and expanded its field of interest, calling the attention of those who are attracted by the adventure of the language of a reflexive “I”, either a great writer or an ordinary man, and also of those who see it as a privileged window to the perception of social microfundaments. Philippe Lejeune, a reknown specialist in every form of the writing of the “I”, researcher at the Institut Universitaire de France, professor at the Université de Paris-Nord (Villetaneuse) and co-founder of the APA (Association pour Vautobiographie et le patrimoine autobiographique), talks about these issues in the following interview’.
