USOS DO TERMO 'CULTURA' NOS DEBATES CURRICULARES

The text aims to outline the main theoretical lines that mobilize the signifier culture within the scope of social sciences and the effects of its incorporations in curricular studies. In dialogue with the post-foundational approach, it explores the articulatory practices between the signifiers culture and curriculum produced in the Curriculum field in different epistemological political contexts. Without intending to defend a more correct or true meaning, the text presents an outline of the theoretical perspectives and epistemic postures that cross the curricular debates in Brazil over the last five decades, underlining the privileged discursive articulations both in the definition of culture and the curriculum. . It bets on the heuristic power of discourse for the production of political readings of the Social. Recognizes that the focus on culture in post-structuralist guidelines offers possibilities for the curricular field to inscribe it in the political field of difference, radicalizing the critique of essentialist and determinist worldview.
