Um Górgias, pístis e filosofia: uma relação de crença

The relation between pistis and philosophy needs to be considered. The text will establish a point of contact between this relation and the thought of Gorgias. The aim of this work is to reflect on whether it is possible to think discursive practice in Leontinus as, by the way, requiring the establishment of a belief in its listeners, replacing a previous belief with one that makes more sense, that is more critical and appropriate to society. For this, Gorgias and his later commentators are analyzed on the indispensability of the pistis for philosophy, using the hermeneutic-dialectic method of bibliographical research. The relation between dóxa and pístis according to the conception of some philosophers in the 5th and 4th century BC in Greece is presented; then, the Gorgian conception of logos is presented; finally, the conception of dóxa and pístis in the Encomium of Helen is verified, concluding that pístis seems to be indispensable to philosophy.
