In his Sophist Plato develops the intereidetic community of supreme genders in order to demonstrate the genuine nature of the sophist and the possibility of falsehood. In this paper I intend to analyze how the philosophical notion of power of community (dýnamis koinonìas) begets a theory of language, by which the truth or falsehood of discourses can be defined. In the first section, I examine the battle between the sons of earth and lovers of Forms as a condition to establish the community of supreme genders in its mythical and ontological levels. Hence, in the second section, I aim to scrutinize the notion of tissue of Forms (symploké tôn eídôn) as the linguistic manifestation of the community of supreme genders. This research employs a cultual hermeneutic that points out the permanence and transformation of mythic discourse in the philosophical discourse.
