This is a Spanish translation of the first chapter from the treatise known as Prolegomena de Philosophia Platonica. Its authorship is unknown and it dates from the latter half of the 6th century A.D. The first chapter contains a description of Plato’s life (Proll. I. 1-6). On this occasion, a short introductory essay and a translation with explanatory notes are offered. The translation of the remaining chapters that complete the text is projected for the near future and in successive deliveries.
