The purpose of this article is to discuss the translation of a verse by Thomas Kyd present in T.S. Eliot's poem. The translation we use as a reference was written by Ivan Junqueira. We will resume some thematic features that run through Eliot’s poem to clarify how they can dialogue with Kyd's work and, as appropriate, propose an alternative solution to the translation of the verse in question.
