About the Journal
Focus and scope
Rónai – Revista de Estudos Clássicos e Tradutórios is an online journal bound to the Faculdade de Letras of Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (UFJF). It aims to disclose works that deal with important questions to the Classical Studies and Translation Studies research fields.
Rónai aims to publish original articles, translations, reviews, and interviews in Portuguese, English, French, Spanish, and Italian. The author of the submission must be an undergraduate, PhD student or PhD of any university.

Peer Review Process
Rónai – Revista de Estudos Clássicos e Tradutórios adopts the system of peer blind-review. The evaluation process has three stages: 1) check of adherence to the focus and scope of this journal; 2) check of adherence to the author guidelines; 3) blind-review by two external reviewers , which will evaluate the quality of the manuscript, considering the originality and relevance of the themes which are presented in the text. To conclude the evaluation, the reviewer chooses one between these recommendations:
Accept submission: the submission should be accepted as it is or with minimal corrections.
Revisions required: to be published the submission needs corrections that can be done in a short time. The submission approval depends on the inclusion of the evaluator's suggestions.
Resubmit for review: to be published the submission needs corrections that can be done in a short time, and after this, the text should be evaluated again.
Resubmit elsewhere: the submission does not apply to the journal scope.
Decline submission: the submission does not fulfill the journal quality standard or needs major corrections.
See comments: if none of the above options seems appropriate, please justify your recommendation with comments to the editor in the text box.
The average time for announcing the editorial decision is 60 days.
Open Access Policy
This journal offers free access to its content, following the principle that providing free access to scientific knowledge contributes to greater world-wide democratization of the knowledge. Thus, no fee is to be applied either to readers or authors.
Publication frequency
Rónai publishes one volume per year. Each volume has two semestral numbers.

Rónai is indexed by DOAJ, Diadorim, Latindex, Livre, EBSCO, EZB, MLA, REDIB, and Sumários.org.
