Abstract

This text proposes an expanded understanding of the terminology of refuge as an ancient phenomenon that goes beyond the tragic context of forced displacements, by reterritorializing and promoting other encounters and new understandings of ways of life, as well as of nomadism and migration. The refuge as a perennial way of life, partly dialogic with the flows of invisibility but also generating a sensitive presence, which experiences new belongings far from the time and place of origin. Crossing authors who approach refuge as a cartographic strategy and reconfiguration of a policy of the body that ignores identity and nationality, we glimpse from the provisional refugee camp and the non-place of the tent a language woven by subjectivities.
