This article analyzes the character Dona Florinda from the series El Chavo del Ocho through the lenses of Coloniality of Being (Maldonado-Torres, 2007) and Right-Wing Poor (Souza, 2024). Using a qualitative methodology and scene decoupage of emblematic episodes, the study examines how her identity performance, hostility toward Seu Madruga, and deference to Professor Girafales reproduce colonial hierarchies and class alienation. It concludes that the character internalizes colonial logics and meritocratic values, embodying the "right-wing poor." Thus, she reinforces epistemic violence and contributes to the fragmentation of the working class, demonstrating the persistence of coloniality in the subjectivities and social relations portrayed in popular culture.
