The book review ". Data Colonialism: how the algorithmic trench operates in the neoliberal war" presents and describes the main points of the collective work that problematizes digital technologies in their economic, social and political aspects especially for the Global South. The text seeks to present the book following its order and chapters, giving special emphasis to the first part that contains the authors' thesis with the data colonialism hypothesis. In the second part, which is more specific and brings empirical cases, the review proposes to present the key issues from a critical perspective, seeking to evaluate the arguments used by the authors. At last, it recommends the book especially for its thematic relevance and for the warning it makes against the naive use we make of digital technologies.
