This article is the result of a research carried out between 2018 and 2020, in which I problematize the conditions that allowed the materialization of a public policy for dance education in the city of Fortaleza, oriented towards the production of a certain typology of body and capital informed by dance. In this article I problematize how my position and my dispositions exerted an inflection in the aforementioned policy. The research uses concepts created by Pierre Bourdieu, notably the notions of field, habitus and capital. From a derivation of the notion of habitus, I used the idea of conservatory habitus to problematize the inflection of this typology of habitus in the conception of the curriculum of the course. The concept of cultural capital was unfolded in corporal capital to problematize the acquisitions designed for the students. The investigation has an autoenographic character, being built in the vicinity of the critical autoethnography proposed by Deborah Reed-Danahay.
