The objective is to reflect on the problem of (in)fidelity in Greek society presented in the narrative of Odysseus' adventures when his return to the supposed Penelope’ arms. The immanent analysis of songs from Odyssey was the path used in the search for answers to the question: to what extent do extramarital sexual relations constitute a social problem for men and women in ancient Greece? According to fragments brought to the screen, the Odyssey reports a certain order of things in which men's sexual freedom is complete, reinforcing inequality when considering women's non-freedom. But it is not sex, by nature, that determines the limit of sexual freedom; but something external to the relationship: private property and the social position resulting from it. Thus, not putting properties at risk, the extramarital relationship is not, for the man, an infidelity; thus, configuring herself for the woman wife, just because she, in herself, is a kind of property of the man.
