This paper comments the treatise Terentianus de littera, de syllaba, de pedibus, by Terentianus Maurus. The old grammarian wrote his work in verse form and varyed it. By means of John Langshaw Austin (1990) studies about performance, this paper discusses main features of the treatise and aims to present through examples its distinctvinesses.
