La représentation de la responsabilité dans « Œdipe à Colone » , de Sophocle

Ce travail présente une discussion à propos de la représentation de la responsabilité dans la tragédie Œdipe à Colone, de Sophocle. À partir des travaux de Gernet (1917), Vernant (1999), Ober (1989), Parker (1983) et Harris (2015), il s’agira de voir la construction de cette représentation dans deux discours de défense d’Œdipe (vv. 258-91et 960-1013). En guise de conclusion, l’on propose que la représentation de la responsabilité dans l’Œdipe à Colone implique l’imbrication des questions juridiques et religieuses, et que la tragédie peut être insérée dans le débat autour de la classification des homicides excusables.
