This article deals with the multiple crisis context verifiable at the present time, particularly in Brazil. The public health crisis caused by COVID-19, in a country with many health problems, is taken as the background for the intensification of other broader and recurring social, political, economic and communicational crises. Thus, based on recent events and widely disseminated by media of different natures, it is intended to point out recurrences that denounce a major crisis, which underlies the persistence of all others: the crisis of historical memory.
The transdisciplinary reflection presented here is supported by authors from different areas, mainly historians and philosophers, and also by images, most of them appropriated from the internet. They help to reconstruct the broader panorama in which this article originated: that of massive circulation of information, many of them visual and not always true, that embody this crisis context.
