TRANSTORNOS ALIMENTARES: UMA REVISÃO DOS ASPECTOS ETIOLÓGICOS E DAS PRINCIPAIS COMPLICAÇÕES CLÍNICAS

Resumo

Esta revisão tem por objetivo descrever os principais aspectos etiológicos e clínicos dos transtornos alimentares. Os transtornos alimentares possuem etiologia multifatorial, sendo determinados por uma diversidade de fatores biológicos, genéticos, psicológicos, socioculturais e familiares que interagem entre si para produzir e perpetuar a doença. Apresentam complicações em diversos sistemas do corpo, estudos mais recentes estão relacionando a insatisfação corporal e os transtornos alimentares com a inabilidade do sistema imune e com o desencadeamento de resposta inflamatória. Devido à gravidade destas doenças é importante divulgar seus sinais, sintomas e complicações para que as estratégias de promoção e prevenção sejam mais efetivas e eficazes.

Biografia do Autor

Ana Paula Carlos Cândido, UFJF

Possui graduação em Nutrição pela Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (1997), mestrado (2004) e doutorado em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (2009). Professora Adjunta do curso de Nutrição da Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora. Tem experiência na área de Nutrição, com ênfase em Nutrição Social, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: doenças crônico-degenerativas, epidemiologia, pediatria e geriatria.
